Garo Hills Celebrates National Film Award Winners Dominic Megam Sangma & Eva Gunme Marak
Tura, Meghalaya – 26 September 2025 – Garo Hills proudly celebrated its rising stars, Dominic Megam Sangma and Eva Gunme Marak, at a grand felicitation ceremony in Tura. Their critically acclaimed film, Rimdogittang (Rapture), was honoured with the Best Garo Film award at the 71st National Film Awards, presented by the Hon’ble President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu. This achievement has brought nationwide recognition to Garo cinema and Meghalaya’s creative talent.
